How To: Create Links Using Text in the Standard Editor

Follow

Using hyperlinked text is a great way to direct customers to a specific place without have to make them search through your website for it. You can use this to link to other pages on your Art Storefronts website, or you can even link to outside pages, such as a blog, Facebook, or anything else that you may need to provide to your customer.

  1. Log in to your Art Storefronts Site Manager and choose any page that you would like to Edit text on. For our purposes we’ll be using the Shop Art.

  2. Navigate to the Standard Editor and begin typing what you would like.

  3. Highlight the text that you want to transform into a Hyperlink.

  4. Click on the icon that looks like a chain link. This is the Link button.

  5. A new page will pop up with an empty field where you will need to enter a URL.

  6. Leave that box open and open a New Tab and navigate to the webpage that you are going to want the text to link to. For our purposes we are going to link to the Product Gallery page titled Solo Artists.

  7. Copy the URL for the page you navigated to.

  8. Return to the page where the Editor is and in the box, paste the URL you just copied.

  9. Press Ok.

  10. You should see that the Highlighted text is now blue.

  11. Press Save.

  12. After you have saved your changes, click on Preview Site.

  13. Go to the Live Page where you made changes and click on the text you made into a Link.

  14. You should then be taken to the appropriate page based on the URL you entered into the Editor.
