How To: Use Price Rounding

The ability to round prices has become increasingly important to artists marketing their Art Storefronts sites. It allows them to make their pricing more uniform and easier to work with. Because of this, Art Storefronts has taken the opportunity to create a feature to round prices in several different ways.

  1. Make sure you are logged in to your Art Storefronts Control Panel. This is sometimes called the back-end of the site or the Site Manager. These all mean the exact same thing. When you’re sure you’re logged in, click on the tab labeled SITE SETTINGS.

  2. On the new page, make sure you’re on the tab labeled INFO. If you don’t make sure you’re on the right tab, you will not see the information being covered here and you won’t be able to complete the process.

  3. Scroll down the page until you see the section labeled Round Prices To and from the menu select your preferred option. Your prices that have a decimal greater than .50 will be rounded up to the chosen number, and (2) the prices below .50 will be rounded to the nearest dollar, and (3) the prices equal to .50 will remain unchanged.

  4. Click the button labeled Save.

  5. Scroll back up to the button labeled PAGES and click on it.

  6. In your pages list, find your Art Print Store and click on it. Ours is named Warehouse - Open Edition Prints.

  7. Now, you need to find the tab labeled INFO and click on it. You need to update your Teaser Prices, so things appear correctly on the live site.

  8. Scroll down the page until you find the section labeled Recalculate Teaser Prices and click on the button labeled RECALCULATE.

  9. You’ll receive a message saying the process may take a few minutes. Click the button labeled Ok.

  10. Now you can navigate to your Live Site and you will see that the price rounding has been implemented properly.
